Rena Novruzlu

Studies and expertise in both architecture and timber construction has greatly influenced Rena Novruzlu’s approach to work. With a hands-on mentality, she infuses creativity and technicality into the ethos of her company, aiming to create spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also contextually relevant.

After graduating with honours from the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction in 1997, Rena Novruzlu accumulated a decade of experience in architecture and design before co-founding Afshan Studio in 2008. In 2017, she embarked on a new venture by establishing Renee Architecture & Design, a Baku-based firm where she currently serves as the CEO. Her philosophy - blending artistic flair with a systematic approach - resonates throughout the entire office, as she takes personal responsibility for the design of all projects.

Beyond her architectural prowess, Rena Novruzlu is recognized as a humanist with a distinctive nonconformist perspective. She is renowned for her unwavering dedication to advancing the architectural profession and actively engages in governmental and public debates, leading to her appointment as a Member of the Public Council under the Architecture and Urban Planning Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
